Overtones

Short narratives—in production

Classical music has the ability to speak to the emotions, and the imagination, without saying a word. OVERTONES is an ongoing series of short films created by Hilan Warshaw. Each one of the films tells a story inspired by a classical piece— using the music as a soundtrack, and without any dialogue.

One of the goals of the project is to bring classical music to new audiences by highlighting the dramatic and imaginative power of great music, through the universal language of cinema. In addition to his filmmaking work, Hilan is an experienced classical violinist and orchestral conductor.

Hilan is producing and directing a program of these short films, which can be screened either together or individually. To find out more about OVERTONES or to schedule a screening of one of the films, please contact Hilan at hilan@overtonefilms.com.
