Classical music has the ability to speak to the emotions, and the imagination, without saying a word. OVERTONES is a new series of short films that celebrates the imaginative power of great music. Each one of the films tells a story inspired by a classical piece— using the music as a soundtrack, and without any dialogue.
One of the goals of the project is to bring classical music to new audiences by highlighting the dramatic and imaginative power of great music, through the universal language of cinema. Hilan Warshaw is currently producing and directing a program of these short films. Upon completion, the program will be presented at screenings in diverse venues.
